RESUME
Summary
For more than two decades, I wrote about sports — anything from high school field hockey to professional football and golf. Then, I wore make-up to go on TV to talk about sports and, finally, I sat behind a microphone to, yes, talk sports. In 2017, when I moved to Switzerland, I stayed behind a mic and began talking to people from all corners of the world about anything and everything … except sports.
Work
experience
Co-founder & co-host, Swisspats podcast
Basel, Switzerland | 2018-2020
SwissPats podcast was founded on the idea that two English speaking expats would interview fellow expats around Switzerland who have blazed their own inspiring path. Duties to produce a weekly show included recording, scheduling, editing and doing a weekly appearance on World Radio Switzerland to promote that week’s show, as well as developing engaging content for the show’s social media channels.
Web producer, WBNS 97.1 & ThisWeek News
Columbus, Ohio | 2012-16
My main role was to manage the daily content on these websites and social media channels for staff, sales and promotional departments. I also wrote stories on the Cleveland Browns and further developed my on-air skills with guest appearances and producing in-house podcasts.
Writer, Orange & Brown Report
Cleveland, Ohio | 2010-15
After establishing a successful personal blog dedicated to the Cleveland Browns, No Logo Needed, I joined the Orange and Brown Report as the website’s primary on-site game-day reporter while also maintaining its social media channels and message boards. I represented the media outlet on various podcast, radio and television programs.
Sportswriter, ThisWeek News
Columbus, Ohio | 2003-12
Covered central Ohio high school, college and professional athletes and teams, established and trained the sports department on its initial social media outreach and anchored and produced podcasts and television shows about high school football.
